Linksys E2500 Router Setup

Linksys E2500 setup is as simple as the setup of other Linksys routers. This router can be installed with or without your Cisco Connect app or installation CD.

Guest entry to Linksys E2500 setup can also be handled using the configuration tab. To build guest network access which was required for E1000, E2000, E3000 routers, there is no need to run the Cisco program. You can manually build a Guest Network.

1: Make ties.

Attach the modem and the device to the router via an Ethernet cable, like most Linksys routers. Verify the lights’ status.

2: Open the download tab.

The Linksys E2500 router’s default IP address is 192.168.1.1. Open the Internet window and enter 192.168.1.1 into the address bar.

It will ask you for a password for the router. The configuration page is a page where you can change network settings and it is protected by a password.

The default password for Linksys E2500 setup is server, leaving the username void. If this default password doesn’t work, the router will need to be reset. Resetting the router would update the configuration of the router to the default factory environment.

For 15 seconds, push and hold the reset button on the router. Release the knob. Unplug the energy. Yeah, wait 10 seconds. The Power plugin. Oh, wait 30 seconds. Now to try again to navigate the setup.

Open the configuration tab of the Linksys E2500 Setup and start manually changing the Internet connection settings.

3: Configuration for internet access.

You will need to clone the MAC address of the main machine for the Wired Internet. Save some parameters.

You would have to change the PPPoE settings for the DSL Internet connection. Enter the name and password of the PPPoE user provided by your Internet service provider. Save some parameters.
Your main machine will be able to reach the Internet connection through Linksys E2500 once you update your Internet connection settings.

Changing wireless network configurations will now be the next step.

4: Configurations for cellular networks.

Click on the Wireless tab on the Linksys E2500 setup page. Change to Manual setup.

There are 2 different cellular networks you will see. 5 GHZ and 2.4 GHZ, respectively.

Network Mode Keep-Mixed.

Modify the SSID name of the wireless network on all networks. For all wifi networks, make sure to use subtly different SSIDs so that you can distinguish them. Keep broadcast SSID allowed as well. Save some parameters.

5: Defense on Wireless.

Click on the sub-tab for Wireless Protection. You’ll see the security of two separate Wi-Fi networks again. Shift the protection mode for all of them to WPA Personal or WPA2 Personal. Specify the password. Using the same Wifi codes for both. Save some parameters.

6: Wifi Link.

For you, this will build 2 separate WiFi networks. You would be able to attach to all of them appropriate for your computer. It’s set for your wireless network in order to configure Linksys E2500 setup.

Now, on your phone, smartphone or other wifi networks, try to connect to WiFi. You’ll see the SSIDs for the Wifi network.
Link with either of them. Enter the right password for the wireless network and you are done. You can also connect the Wi-Fi gadgets on the internet.

7: Configure guest network access for Linksys E2500.

Tap on the Guest Control sub-tab under the Wireless tab. Guest Access offers internet access to visitors to your home without allowing them access to your computers or personal info.

If you want guest access to be configured, choose Allow Guest Access:-Yes. The name of the guest network is not modifiable. Password update. Set the number of guests who are required to log in. Save some parameters.

Linksys E2500 N600 Setup Login Default Password

The default password for Linksys E2500 is server, leaving the username void. The most popular question raised about routers is this.

Confuse yourself with your wireless login and your modem password. There are 3 common passwords on E2500.

  • Admin Router
  • Password for Wireless Network (2 different wifi networks 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz)
  • Password for guest network.

To enter the router configuration, a router password is used. You just don’t use your password as much. You open the router configuration tab and make updates if you wish to make some network changes. You would need this password for the Linksys Router Setup at that time. Other than that, this is not important for you.

The password for the wireless network is used to connect the wireless gadget or computer to the wifi network. This is the wireless network key, essentially.
The password for the guest network is used to connect visitors to the wifi network without requiring them to reach your main network. Restricted internet connection for users with gusto.
